Who Can Use the App
The HVCA App is a private community for HVCA's staff, families, and the relatives families invite. Accounts are created only from an invite sent by the school or by a parent, or by the school directly. You may use the app only through an account created for you, and you're responsible for keeping your sign-in details private and for everything done with your account.
Community Standards
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. When you post, comment, or share anything in the app, you agree not to:
- harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate anyone;
- post hateful or discriminatory content, or content that is sexual, violent, or otherwise inappropriate for a school community;
- share another person's private information, or photos of students, without the right to do so;
- impersonate anyone or misrepresent your relationship to a student or the school;
- post spam, advertising, or anything unlawful;
- try to access accounts, content, or parts of the app you weren't given access to.
How We Keep the Community Safe
- Student posts are reviewed first. Posts written by students are held until a teacher or administrator approves them.
- Comments are filtered. Comments containing offensive language are blocked before they're posted.
- You can report anything. Every post, comment, and user has a Report option. Reports go to our team, and we review each one within 24 hours.
- We remove what breaks these rules. We, or the school's administrators, may delete content and deactivate any account that violates these terms, without notice. Because the app is invite-only, a removed user can't simply sign up again.
Your Content
You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you allow HVCA to display, store, and share it with the people the app shows it to, for as long as it stays in the app. Some content stays visible after you leave: when an account is deleted, its posts and comments remain under the name "Deleted User" so school records stay intact, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Giving and Outside Links
The app's Giving screen links to outside payment services such as PayPal, Cash App, and Venmo. Donations happen entirely on those services and under their terms; the HVCA App never handles payment details.
Leaving the App
You can delete your account at any time from your Profile in the app. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or are no longer part of the HVCA community.
No Warranty
We work to keep the app available and accurate, but it's provided "as is," without guarantees that it will always be available, error-free, or deliver every notification.
Changes to These Terms
If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page and let you know in the app before the changes apply to you.
